How to Build a Standout Recruiting Profile on ProductiveRecruit

The ProductiveRecruit Profile Builder makes it easy to showcase your recruiting information in one place. Add your videos, stats, and more—then share your custom link by email, text, or social media to get seen by college coaches.

Your profile is organized into sections where you can add and update important information—like your academics, athletics, and videos. This guide walks you through each section so you can build a strong profile that stands out to college coaches. While we use a volleyball profile as an example, the same steps apply to all sports.

💡 Tips

  • The more complete your profile is, the better. If it looks empty, college coaches won’t have what they need to see if you’re a good fit for their program.
  • You can preview your latest changes anytime by clicking the "Preview" link in the top-left corner of the Profile Builder. Do not share the preview link with college coaches.
  • ⚠️ Don’t forget to click “Save” at the bottom of each section to make sure your changes are saved!

Athletics Section

The Athletics section is where you can showcase your athletic background, stats, and team info. Filling this out completely helps coaches evaluate your skill level and understand how you might fit into their program.

Positions

Choose your Primary Position and optionally a Secondary Position. You can also select any additional positions you’ve played to give coaches a better sense of your versatility.

Stats

Enter your key performance stats—these vary by sport, so you'll see different fields depending on what you play. For example, volleyball players can enter hitting percentage, vertical jump, and digs per set. Only filled-out stats will appear on your public profile.

Additional Stats

Use this section to add any other stats that aren’t already included. This is a great place for custom metrics, team-leading categories, or anything that makes you stand out.

Athletic Honors

List any awards or recognition you’ve received for your athletic achievements—whether it’s All-Conference, MVP, or club-specific honors. This gives coaches extra insight into your impact as a player.

Teams

Add your Club Team, High School Team, and an Additional Team you play for (if applicable). Include details like team name, jersey number, and coach contact info. This helps coaches understand your current level of play and gives them a way to follow up with your coaches if needed.

Contact Section

In this section, you’ll add the key contact details that college coaches use to get in touch. Be sure to include the recruit’s email, phone number, and social media handles. You can also add contact info for a parent, coach, and recruiting coordinator, which helps coaches connect with the right people during the recruiting process.

Videos Section

This is where you can upload and organize your highlight and game footage to showcase your skills. You can add video clips, reorder them, and choose one to feature at the top of your profile. Adding strong video content is one of the best ways to get noticed by college coaches.

The Links section is a place to share any additional online content that supports your recruiting journey. You can add links to press features, your YouTube channel, Hudl highlights, or other platforms where coaches can learn more about you. Make sure each link has a clear title so coaches know what they’re clicking on.

Photos Section

Use the Photos section to add action shots or other images that show off your personality and athleticism. This is a great way to bring your profile to life and make a strong visual impression on college coaches. Just make sure each photo is under 2MB in size. You can also give each photo a title to provide context, like the event or moment it captures.
